A law that would be debates on would be abortion laws , especially in third world countries. Some of these countries also do not allow a woman who is a legal adult to undergo an abortion if she does not have blood relatives if she is not married. This has been stated to be a major issue as women increasingly try to resort to unsafe means to get the process done resulting in complications and death. The choice of abortion must be based upon various criteria which are reasonable and must not be denied on the grounds that one is unmarried, or lacking legal documents or courtship. Another law is regarding female sterilization, where a woman is not allowed to be sterilized unless she is beyond a certain age or if she is still of child bearing age without a child , which contradicts the fact that abortion is also denied in various places.
