Juvenile delinquency means the crimes committed by a minor. It includes minor between 10 years to 17 years. The children between the age of 10 years to 17 years may be involved in crimes for various reasons. They break law or do antisocial activities. It is proved that the tendency of criminal activity starts at the adolescent period when the child crosses the boyhood period. The juvenile crime is increasing day after day. Environment, media, family settings, school environment etc are responsible for the increase of juvenile delinquency.

It is seen that many children are involved in criminal offenses in between the ages of 7 years to 12 years age. Again many are involved in preteens and the rate of involvement is maximum in the age group between 15 years to 17 years.

The first group minor, the age between 7 years to 12 years do not have any idea of crimes. They are mainly used by the other criminals. They are used for drug carrying.

In the adolescent period the children fear to do any crime. They are sometimes forced to do the crimes. In the later adolescent period bad association leads the children to do crimes. They get pleasure in antisocial activities. Many temptations work behind it. The home environment is also responsible for such nature of the children.
