The reaction takes place in a single step. Hence, all the reactants react simultaneously in the single step. Moreover, the reaction takes place via an elementary step, i.e, the molecularity of the reaction rate with respect to each reactant is equal to the stoichiometric co-efficient of the reactant in the balanced equation.

Hence, the reaction rate is given as

Rate = k[H2O2][I-]2[H+]2

where k is the overall rate constant for the reaction.
