Answer #1

Answer

18.823g

Explanation

Molarity = number of moles of solute per liter of solutions

0.238 M Ca(CH3COO)2 = 0.238mol Ca(CH3COO)2 per 500ml of solution

number of moles of Ca(CH3COO)2 required to 500ml of solution = 0.238mol/2 = 0.119mol

mass = number of moles × molar mass

mass of Ca(CH3COO)2 required =0.119mol × 158.18g/mol = 18.823g
