Electromagnetism, chapter 6 (Magnetic Fields in Matter) of Griffiths 4th Edition. My professor created this problem and I'm just having a really hard time understanding it. I'm not really sure what method I'm supposed to use. In the book, it talks about a single ribbon of charge going around a "blob", but I don't know how that translates to a cube. I also have no idea what "magnetized to saturation" means. Here is the question:
A cube of magnetite 5cm on an edge is magnetized to saturation in a direction perpendicular to two of its faces. Find the magnitude of the ribbon of bound-charge current that flows through the circuit consisting of the remaining four faces of the cube. The saturation of magnetization in magnetite is 4.8 x 10^5 Joules / Tesla-meter^3. Would the field of this cubical magnet disturb a compass that is 2m away?
