11) The negative effects of carbon emissions in North American cities are listed below,

1. Increase in surface temperature due to trapping of heat by green house effect
2. Formation of smog leading to air pollution
3. Extrenme differences in climatic conditions leading to very hot summer and very cold winter
4. Extreme weather conditions like storms, hurricanes as well as drought
5. Disruption in food supply
6. Increase in the incidence of wildfire
