Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder was initially thought to include people who are affected by war, sexual abuse, natural disasters but America is facing a new kind of PTSD which is happening everyday in the streets of America which leads to increased violence and disoriented people. The story of Davis which the author uses as an example suggests that there are numerous gun shots and knife stabbings that go unreported but the aftermath leaves the victims helpless and feelings of retaliation. These incidents on the street happens mostly on petty things such as the queue fight that Davis encountered while waiting to buy drugs would leave this nation with a generation that is losing itself to drugs and drug related violence. IT’s high time, as the author suggest that these victims are identified and helped in order to clean a nation that’s battling with freedom without responsibility.
