Some of the reasons for which an employee should know about his rights at his work place -

  • Working at anyplace involves lots of challenges, responsibilities, committments and ethics. Violation of any of the mentioned thing then it may cause long legal battle with the employer. So to avoid such situation employee should know his rights.
  • Sometimes employees didn't know about some of his rights because of which employees didn't take benefits of those policies as they were unaware of their rights.
  • Employee should know about his rights so that none of the employer misuse any of the employees' rights.
  • Employee should know their rights so that they will make themselves protected by indulgence in any wrong work.
  • Employee have a right to refuse unsafe work so if employee feel that the work is unsafe so he can refuse taht work and this will possible only when he knows about his rights.
  • There Will be no discrimination and harrasement occurance at any workplace so employees should aware of his rights so if such situation arises then he could raise his voice against such situation.
  • Maternity leave is the right of all the women so if any of the women didn't get maternity leave then she could raises her voice for her right.
  • Employee should know about his rights so that they will be paid enough according to their work because it's the right of an employee to be paid well for his work.

  • When employee feel safe and secure while working then they will work effectively for the organisation.
  • Union protect the rights so as to no biasing will occur among employees.
  • Employee will create a good image of the organisation if they feel satisfaction and secure and this will happen only if their rights were protected.
