Your largest and most faithful customer wants its order shipped early. You could do that, but it would mean that a new, small account’s order would be delayed. What will you do?

In another situation you have an order from an account with the potential to be your biggest. But shipping tells you the product will be delayed one week, and credit refuses to allow the customer to pay COD on the first order, which is what the customer specifically requested. What will you do?

What could you have done to prevent these problems from occurring?

I would tell them that can’t do it without it effecting other customers orders. If they really are our most faithful customer, they will understand and stay with us despite.

I would talk to credit and see if they can make an exception. If the customer has the potential to be our biggest account, I think it would be in our best interest to make the exception.
What could you have done to prevent these problems from occurring?
To prevent these problems from occurring, I would be very honest and straight forward. I would tell my employer, upon hire, that I do not engage in any unethical business. I would make sure that they know of the kind of person I am. I would also be the same way with my customers. I feel like people are much more receptible to information if they are being told the whole truth, even if it isn’t necessarily what they want to hear.
