b. Gross taxable income = $31,000

Less : Standard Deduction = $6,300

Less : Exemptions = $4,050

Taxable Income = $20,650

Income Tax = ($20,650 - $9,275) * 15% + ($9,275 * 10%)

= $1,706.25 + $ 927.50 = $2,634
