Katrina has been a licensed plumber in Wisconsin for 25 years. Katrina was hired by Lenny to do plumbing work for Lenny in Illinois. Katrina is not licensed in Illinois. To become licensed, Katrina would have been required to complete the necessary paperwork and pay $50.00. Katrina properly completed the plumbing work for Lenny. Lenny refused to pay and Katrina sued.

What is a defense for Lenny in this case?

Lenny can base his defence on the fact that katrina is not a licenced plumber in his state and she did not make that known to Lenny before accepting the job.
