Hi! I have a question regarding the hybridisation of nitrogen of this molecule HCN. I would say its lewis strukture is H-C=-N (with a trippelbond between C and N) Since N is only attached to carbon with one group I would say nitrogen is S- hybridized. But in my answers in the book the right answer is SP hybridized. Why is it SP hybridized when only one group of 2 pi bond and 1 sigma bond is attached to N?
