Given, DNA stock concentration is 0.0025 mg/ml

That is 0.0025 mg of DNA is obtained from 1 ml DNA solution.

So, 1.2 ug ( i.e. 1.2 × 0.001 mg = 0.0012 mg) of DNA will be obtained from [(1 ml)/(0.0025 mg)] × 0.0012 mg (since 1 ug = 0.001 mg)

= 4.8 ml

Hence, 4.8 ml of DNA solution is required to load 1.2 ug of DNA to a well of an agarose gel from a 0.0025 mg/ml of DNA stock.
