The three things that I learned was that

We need to be aware of the various urgency trap that we may face at work or personal life and need to remember that urgent decision does not translate to best decision.

Prioritize the activities and focus on higher priority items. This is important because we all have limited time in making any kind of decision.

We should not be extremely detailed or extremely fast in decision making. Maintain a moderate time to make decisions.

I think the idea of prioritization is interesting. This is because we often forget to do this and get involved and invested in lower priority items. We forget to see the big picture and get embroiled in unnecessary details.

The second idea that is interesting is that how often we forget to assess our own situation. For example, it is very difficult to identify is we are in an urgency trap or not.

One question that I have after reading this article is that, if we want to improve our decision making and critical thinking process can we achieve that by practicing these points? Does one acquire them through practice or are they naturally capable of doing them?
