  3. Encourage for only marks and not concepts and well being .
  4. Comparing with other peers.
  5. Scolding when a pupil does not answers .

Teaching practices that foster children’s achievement are as follows :

  1. Telling him about his strengths .
  2. Not supporting in wrong deeds.
  3. Giving the task in which he will perform well.
  4. Teaching discipline .
  5. Remembering him all life.

Comparing with other students is most detrimental to achievement .
