Answer #1

Quantitative methodology aims at collecting numerical data within a specified limits of answer options set by the researcher in order to measure the outcome statistically. This would mean the researcher may employ methods such as, surveys, questionnaires etc. Qualitative methodology aims at collecting information regarding human behaviors from their own opinions and ideas. Data is collected through focus group discussions, interviews etc. The researcher may not be able to set limits to the information provided by the subjects as happens in quantitative research. Sample refers to a set of population selected for the purpose of conducting the research in order to prove a phenomenon. This would depend on the demands of the research thus, the age group, geographical locality, gender etc. which would be relevant to the research topic.
