Answer #2
P = (ΔV)2/Rso R1 = (24)2/5 = 115.2 W4Ω = (24)2/4 = 144 WR2 = (24)2/3 = 192 W1Ω = (24)2/1 = 576 W

Answer #3

Combine R2 and 1Ω and use loop rule to find the current "I "
V = I R
24 = ( 5 Ω ) I + ( .75 Ω ) I + ( 4 Ω ) I
I = 2.46 A
But this current only applies to those resistors in series, sowe have to find the currents of those in parallel
Resistors in parallel have the same voltage across them, butthe voltage across the two resistors in parallel will not be 24 Vbecause the otherresistors in series are soaking up some of thevoltage.
So..... 24 - (5) (2.46) - (4) (2.46) = 1.85 V = Voltage acrossthe resistors in parallel
1.85 = (3)
= .6167 A
1.85 = (1)
= 1.85 A

= (2.46)^2* (5) = 30.29 W
= (2.46)^2* (4) = 24.24 W
= (.6167)^2* (3) = 1.14 W
= (1.85)^2* (1) = 3.42 W
