Observational learning is a type of learning which a person can learn by observing and imitating others. In our life we learn many new things by observational learning. People observe others as model and learn directly.

Some examples of observational learning are: -

1) A small child starts to learn from his/her parents how to smile or how to chew or how to speak. They observe their parents activities and then try to imitate them and start learning.

2) An employee in a company, learn by observing his/her peers that how to achieve targets given by manager in order to get bonus or promotion.

3) A school or college student may observe and learn from his/her friends, how to dress nicely and how to become more stylish. The learn dressing sense from their friends.

4) We learn basic etiquettes and manners from our parents and teachers by observing their behaviours and learn and imitate them in our life.

5) Many students or child observe and learn their friends bad habits like smoking, drinking or taking drugs etc. and they start imitating them which can be dangerous for their health.
