In order to trend in the population of the prison, there are two main approaches Conflict theory is based on the materialistic perspective of history and it has a dialectical approach for analysis, critical stand to the arrangement(social).

It focusses on the dissimilarities in the distribution of power in the different class or groups. Consensus theory is considered es as the social theory that proposes that specific economic and political system is a fair and just system.

All the social variations must be done under the institution (social) given by it. This theory is very different and contrasting from conflict theory.According to this theory in the absence of conflict equilibrium present.

These theories are important to observe and analyse the process of group form nation in conflict development within the prison.
