No, 20 kHz is not suitable for a driver whose frequency dispersion effects begin at ~8100 Hz. As 20 kHz is larger than 8100 Hz frequency dispersion effect will be a major factor.

If the size of the speaker is considerable to a point source there will not be any dispersion problem unless the speaker is moving. A moving speaker is effected by the Doppler effects.
