Assume that both types of charge carriers exhibit a quadratic dependence to an applied magnetic field, i.e. the magnetoresistance for both types of carriers in proportional to [1 +(uB)2]. Also, assume that the field dependence of the conductivity is isotropic. Calculate the magnetoresistance step u-at Ap p(H)-p(0), where H is the magnetic field. Hint: Apply Matthiessen's rule for the relaxation rates.
