Answer #1

To detect a dim object you need to collect a lot of light. If other factors like mirror quality , observing conditions etc are kept same then the ability of telescope to detect dim objects depends only on light-collecting area. Because all the telescopes shave the same light-collecting area(100 m2 ), they all can detect dim objects equally well. The arrangement of the mirrors does not matter, as long as they are arranged and shaped to focus light of distant objects perfectly.
