Cybersquatting termed as “domain squatting” is using the web domain name with the wrong intentions to make money by making use of someone else’s recognized name. In my view it is illegal because in the process web domain name is sold to the owner with the lesser price. First of all, there is no legal permissions to the cybersquatter to use the name which he or she does not own. Thus, there is a arbitration system to keep the trademark distinct. Also, Cybersquatting is not ethical it forces the trademark owners to pay for a domain name which they already own and it is more like unethical marketing.
