Answer #1

With the advent of technology at a rapid pace, it is not far that driverless cars will soon be on the roads. However, these cares pose inherent dangers and risk. 3 of the most important reasons for which they must be banned are:

  1. Driverless cars are vulnerable to being hacked. This is because any device which is connected to the computer or internet poses high risk of being hacked and being misused. Once hackers gain access to the software, they can gain insight and literally control every aspect of the car.
  2. Human experience plays the most important role in driving. Humans are flexible and can adapt and adjust to any road conditions and situations they face while driving. It depends on the intuition. However, the current roadways are not suitable for the driverless cars and to make them function properly, all possible cases need to be programmed and fed in to them. This is practically not possible. Thus, uncertainity and high risks of accidents are bound to arise. They basically will provide a false sense of security to the rider though in self driving cars, the driver must be extra cautious
  3. Driverless cars basically lead to a fight between the raw intellect of human beings and artificial intelligence. Though artificial intelligence tends to out perform in many aspects, driverless cars is not the domain where AI must be preferred over humans. This is because a slight mistake can be detrimental.
