Answer #1

Answer :

9. (D) option is correct, it's bond order is zero.

Because there are two bonding electron present in molecular orbital diagram of He2 and 2 antibonding electron.therefore the bond order = 2-2/2 = 0/2 = 0.

10. (C), C-F option is correct, as we know that florine is most electronegative element in the periodic table therefore, it will have highest polar bond with Carbon.

11. (D) , 1 sigma and 1 π bond is correct. Because, there will be C=C and in which one bond is sigma while the other one is π bond.

12.(a) ,sp hybridization is correct option., Because, at C triple bond C , there is one sigma bond at terminal position while one sigma bond is in triple bond( which consists of 1 sigma and 2 π bond) , thus hybridization will be sp.

{ We are give only 4 answers in case of multiple type questions as per HomeworkLib guidelines, but still I am trying two more}

14. (D) sp3 for all, option is correct, there is 4 sigma bond will have sp3 hybridization.

15.(a) option is correct, 2*1/2.

    Benzene is an organic chemical compound with the molecular formula . In the benzene molecule, carbon atoms form a ring with alternating single and double bonds connecting them. Thus, each individual carbon atom forms one bond with another carbon atom and one and one bond with another carbon atom. Each carbon atom also forms one bond with a hydrogen atom. Identify which types of orbitals overlap to form the bonds between the atoms in a benzene molecule. Drag the appropriate...
