Model Complexity of decision making why capable managers can make bad decision and how to improve the decision making? support with examples
Answer
Capable managers can make bad decisions when the decision must be taken on immediate basis, which does not give proper time to evaluate the alternatives, understand the causes of a problem and to analyse the problem properly. Managers fail in decision making wen they have no option to delay a process. And they may be forced by the senior or top management to act in a particular way, which doesn't allow them to be decisive.
To improve the decision making capabilities the manager must have all possible probability of getting an issue or need or any negative consequences before hand. This will help in arranging the proper methods and ways so that problems can be quickly resolved. For example: if manager thinks that certain assignment may bring conflicts among members, he need to prepare prior to assigning the tasks and make clear instructions and share important information related to it to remove every sort of doubts and make members know their responsibilities. Other way to improve dexodeci making is to analyse the situation and implement what is best action to resolve the problem. Once the issue is addressed, review the decision.
