As mentioned in the instruction of the question clearly, I am only answering question number 2.

2) In class C number of network ID bits = 24

Number of host ID bits = 8

We know that class C each network can have max (28 - 2) = 254 hosts.

So we apply subnetting concept to divide a given network into subnets and these subnets are merged to create supernets.

So to have 2000 host in our supernet. We have to need 11 bits for hosts [as 211 = 2048]. So the requirement can be fulfilled if 11 bits are taken for the host ID and remaining bits for the network ID.

So the new supernet mask will be in binary = 11111111.11111111.11111000.00000000

(in the above supernet mask in binary the first 21 bits represent the net ID and for those 21 bits the value is '1' and the remaining 11 zero's represent the host ID.)

The equivalent IP address in Decimal will be = 255.255.248.0
