Please describe the technique thoroughly and give examples of proteins that would be involved in the analysis. Limitations/advantages? how do you differentiate or if its good for small or large amino acids?

I may ask you to more specifically design an experiment to either 1) Discover the physical structure of your protein 2) Identify an unknown protein. You should have the ability to describe in detail one technique in each of these categories.

as we very well know that function of a protein is modulated by other proteins with which it interacts.With this we classify protein analysis methods into categories based on protein-protein interaction.

To list a few:- ( biochemical)

Protein affinity chromatography

Affinity blotting

coimmunoprecipitation etc

and some molecular ones are as follows:-

Protein probing

Two hybrid system etc

talking about advantages---- These methods can be applied to a wide variety of proteins, even to multiple protein-protein interactions.

Disadvantages are------- had not given any satisfying results against species with unique structures.
