CASE STUDY!
A sixty three year old controlled hypertensive woman had was placed on a new water peel, spironolactone. A week later, she noticed that her right breast was very tender and she feeling exhaustedly weak, light headed, and gasps for air as she climbs the stairs in her house. She observed that both of her legs were swollen from her feet to her knees. She was ambulated to the emergency room
Her routine triad result show that her blood pressure was normal, 118/68 mmHg, her heart rate was 108 beats per min, (normal 72 beats per min), her temperature was also normal at 37.2 oC and her blood oxygen saturation was 84 per cent. Her abdominal examination reveals that the ileum was inflamed
Her hematology laboratory test result show normal hematocrit and hemoglobin but her neutrophil count was high, Her Blood chemistry test revealed high BPP (220), Mg++ and vitamin D were both very low.
Her ECG show arrthymia with some missing P waves. Her Echo cardiogram show that the left ventricle was pumping strong and was normally but her left was slightly pumping weak and the tricuspid valve was not closing very well.
1.What is the diagnosis of this patient? Give all possible diagnosis
2.Justify your diagnosis based on the given test results.

The woman has hypertension, Tachycardia, Hypoxemia, Neutrophilia, and fatigue due to high BPP and low Mg+2, and vitamin D are the diagnosis of this case. On the other hand, she is feeling short breathing, and weakness.

Due to the above diagnosis, the patient is having Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.
In this disease, the patient’s alveoli of lungs fill with fluids. The patient must feel shortness of breath, and fatigue.
