Copy paste the data into excel sheet

Enter age data in column A from A1 to A15 and number of mutants in column B from B1 to B15

Use excel function SLOPE and INTERCEPT to find the slope and intercept of the required regression equation

select age values as known x’s and number of mutant as known y’s

=SLOPE(B1:B15,A1:A15)

= 6.1866

and

=INTERCEPT(B1:B15,A1:A15)

= -245.3320

So, equation is given as

y = -245.3320 + 6.1866(x)
