Mitigation refers to reducing the risk of loss from the occurrence of any undesirable event.
To preserve the wetland habitats Mitigation, the following steps are required:
- Avoidance & minimization of impacts to wetlands through realignment and construction features and some special designs, or other measures.
- Improvements to existing wetlands. Such activities may include, construction or modification of water level control structures, establishment of natural vegetation,installation or removal of irrigation, drainage, or other water distribution systems,re-contouring of a site, pest management, fencing installation, monitoring, and some other measures to protect, restore, or enhance the wetland or natural habitat character of a site.
