Answer #1

Answer: d. antecedent test variable.

Explanation:

While doing any research or experiment we will have independent variable and dependent variable. Some times A variable which existed in experiment place before our independent variable and that variable effects the relationship between our independent and dependent variable is called antecedent test variable.

In given case independent variable is firefighters and dependent variable is fire damage. Generally More firefighters at a fire site , the lesser the amount fire damage we will see. But in given case we are seeing more firefighters there were at a fire site, the greater the amount of fire damage. Why this is happening ? Because of the fire size. Here Fire size influencing the relationship between variables. That's why fire size is called as antecedent test variable.

All searches were done by the same person in English, mainly using Google Scholar. This was further complemented through reference harvesting, citation tracking, abstracts in conference programs, and author search, using Research Gate and Mendeley (see PRISMA Flowchart in Supplementary Figure S1 Checklist and list of studies reviewed in Table S1).
