Polymer chemistry is the study of complex molecules i,e polymers built from monomer units.Using Polymer Chemistry new polymers with useful chemical and physical qualities can be developed. Sometimes when the existing ones may not fulfil the requirements of certain purposes. Also adding additives to polymer may also help in improving the characteristics of the existing polymers.Another reason for industrial laboratories using polymer chemistry is that industries are always looking for economical alternatives for each process. So they conduct experiments to find alternative mechanisms, catalyst utilising polymer chemistry.
