Answer #1

Answer: option A is correct answer

Correct sequence of gene: ubm

Now we want to calculate the distance between them

Between b and m

Step1: Find out single cross over between b and m

uu+ bb mm+ :68 and uu bb+ mm: 82

Now,

Distance between two gene= [(number of single cross over+number of double cross over)/total number of progeny]×100

For b and m= [(68+82+7+3)/2000]×100

= 8 cM

Distance between u and b

Single cross over between the u and b

uu+ bb+ mm+: 172 and uu bb mm: 128

For u and b= [(172+128+7+3)/2000]×100

=15.5 cM
