Specify: 1) type of correlation; 2) coefficient value; 3) direction; 4) strength; 5)p-value
Age and if ever used marijuana
Hispanic and if ever used marijuana
Age of first use of marijuana and level of agreement with voting for a president who has used marijuana
Age and age of first use of marijuana
In terms of strength, which pair of variables has the strongest correlation between them (on the matrix)? Briefly interpret this finding.
Answer a)
Between the variables age and manjuana if ever used there is a significant positive corellation of 0.111. This is not so highly correlated, then too there is a position correlation. The p value for this correlation is less than 0.05, which states that the variables are significantly correlated.
B)
Between the variables Hispanic and marijuana if ever used, there is almost no correlation existing. The value of correlation is only 0.07. it is weakly correlated. The p value for the correlatiic is 0.821 which is greater than 0.05. Hence the variables are not correlated
C)
The variable level of agreement with voting for a president who has used marijuana is not found.
D)
Between the variables age and age of first use of marijuana there is a significant positive correlation of 0.252. From the p value we can say that p value is(0.00) less than 0.05 level of significance. Hence we can say that the variables are significantly correlated.
E)
The highly correlated variables are marijuana if ever used and marijuana likert item 1.
