Explain how the plate operates as a polariser for the transmitted radiation. Develop an expression for the intensity of the transmitted radiation as a function of the thickness of the plate. From the provided data I found the wavelength was 28.6 cm. Considering the length is 14. half a wave is 14.3cm. I dont know how to get the formula for the transmitted radiation. Please show the full working as to how you got to the formula. and how you got to plate thickness.
