Ans :

The small molecules behave according to law of quantum mechanics. The molecules vibrate at different energy levels according to the temperatures they are exposed to. The higher the temperature , more is the energy level and hence higher the vibrations. At lower temperatures such as absolute zero , the vibrations of the molecules decrease but does not approach zero in any case. This is called as zero point energy.
