Briefly give an example of an inequity that employee might experience. What will be the attitudinal implications of that inequity? How would he/she strive to attain equity in the situation that you have described?

✓ equity refers to fair treatment, equitable compensation and justice to all the employees at all the levels. Inequity in contrast is found when the employees are not treated fairly, provided with injustice and not given rewards equal to their peers for the same level of work.

For example: when an employee is given less amount of incentives or compensation than his colleague, who is at the same role for the same amount of work. He may tend to behave negatively because, that inequity will have a negative implications on his attitude. And starts decreasing his efforts, shows counterproductive behaviour towards work and management, and may become frustrated. He or she would strive to attain the qeuity in the situation by working less and not showing complete efforts and disengage with duties, to believe that now their efforts match their compensation. Which is not at all good for the organisation.
