If we have to determine whether a trait is displaying incomplete dominance, then after mating two species, the resultant offspring will produce an intermediate character of the two parents.
For example in Snapdragon flower, when red colored flowers were crossed with white one, the F1 progeny had all pink flowers, i.e a trait intermediate between the two.
The result that we should get in order to say if a trait is incomplete dominant are-
-The F1 progeny should have an intermediate character of the two parents.
-The F2 progeny should have same genotypic and phenotypic ratio of 1: 2: 1.
Hope it helps, Good luck !!!!!

Campbell Biology, 10edition Answer all of the following questions Chapter 14 Mendel and the Gene Idea a) What is a monohybrid cross and dihybrid cross? How do the number of characters being studied and whether the trait is homozygous or heterozygous play a role? b) Calculate the different gametes could be produced through independent assortment by an individual with the genotype KkLlMmDdEE? c) What are the gametes that could be produced from a parent that is AaBb. d) How many...
Show the formulas and functions you use to obtain your answers and give your answers to four significant figures In genetics, two hybrid parents each with one dominant and one recessive gene for some trait) should produce 75% of their offspring with the dominant trait (25% pure, 50% hybr id) and 25% with the recessive trait. Consider 400 offspring of a pair of hybrid laboratory plants and use the binomial distribution until asked to do otherwise What is the expeoted...

If you have a tall plant, demonstrate with a testcross how it could be determined if the plant is homozygous tall or heterozygous tall. 4. In a population of 4,549 moths, you observe 622 moths that have large spots on their wings. You identify that having large spots is dominant over small spots (aa), but the trait displays incomplete dominance (Aa individuals have medium spots). What is the frequency of the A allele in the population (be sure to round to 4 decimal places)?
7. Phenylketonuria is an inherited human genetic disorder resulting from a mutation to the PAH gene. Individuals with mutant forms of the PAW gene exhibit leaming deficits, abnormal skin pigmentation, as well as heart problems. This is an example of: a)...

What is the probability that for a particular trait, two heterozygous parents will both contribute a recessive allele to their child? For a typical Mendelian trait with complete dominance how many different phenotypes are possible? For alleles that display incomplete dominance, how many phenotypes are possible? Some phenotypes appear to be expressed on a continuum. Several traits in this lab demonstrate this. If most genes have only two alleles, how can some phenotypes be so variable? Chin shape genes are...
