A nondestructive testing program tor a design component using a 1040 steel with yield strength of 600 MPa can ensure that noThe inspection program is only helpful to avoid the failure due to general yielding. But the in the case of fast failure due to falw induced fracture, there is no such information regarding the failure. Hence the testing program cant prevent the fast fracture.
