When we talk about the jobs we have hundreds of options to choose from but one thing to consider is our passion and interest for particular job, we need to look whether it fulfills our need for job.

Both the jobs have it's own benefits and drawback based on personal preference of individuals.Real time experience puts light on the way we pursue these 2 kind of job's.

When we talk about jobs in Bank and IT firms we do attach pride and prestige to it, whether it can be a government or private sector job.

DIFFERENCES

• Security - Is one of the important thing we look into when making choice between Bank and IT, as we get job security in banking sector more than in IT.
• Experience - Experience is must in case of IT sector but when you go for Bank jobs even a freshers will easily get jobs based on their knowledge.
• Competition for promotion - you have to make lots of struggle to get promoted in IT companies compared to Bank,because in IT companies you need to fulfil lots of criteria to get promoted like performance at job, target, behaviour etc.
• Work-life balance - It's easy to maintain balance between work and life in case of bank jobs compared to that of IT because you will get lots of holidays in banking sector.
• Direct contact with customers - you are in direct contact with customers so you need to be more credit worthiness in bank sector but in case of IT sector you will have direct contact with customers.
• Creativity and innovation - There is no place for creativity in banking jobs but you have lots of opportunities to showcase your creativity and you need to keep track of innovations taking place in IT sector and it's must to adopt yourself to changing technology to be a part of company.

SIMILARITIES

• Government rules and regulations - Both sectors are highly exposed to rules and regulations of government, so they need to follow and adopt them from time to time to keep their business running.
• Work pressure - You need to face lots of work pressure in both the sector but level of pressure may be different.
• Punctuality - maintaining punctuality in work is must in both sectors, in case of bank you need to maintain documentation properly and in case of IT you need to keep in touch with innovations and maintain work accordingly.
• Firing - From job is different in both kind of jobs as in case of bank jobs you just need to follow guidelines provided by bank then you will be on safer side and in case of IT sector if you are productive enough with lots of innovative abilities and knowledge no one can fire you, only one thing which can fire you from job is being part of illegal activities.

Working in IT firms give you global experience as most of these firms are globalised you get exposed to their working pattern and helps for personal development but in case of bank jobs it's totally different you need to adhere to particular nations rules and regulations in performing your work. So both the jobs have it's own pros and cons and it depends on personal perspective.
