Answer #1

True

The geographic areas where there is restriction to the access of affordable healthy food options is called food deserts. This mostly is due to the lack of grocery stores and super markets within convenient distance. The sub urban and rural areas have limited transportation facilities available, and this is one reason for minimal access to healthy food options.

The areas where low income people reside, will be mostly having less number of grocery stores and super markets compared to high socio economic status communities.

Also over abundance of fast food chains are found in such areas where people have less choices, and the healthy food options are very less. The people are forced to choose what is available.
