Double effects in healthcare refers to an action which can definitely give positive results but at the same time potentially may or may not cause some negative results are acceptable on ethical grounds.
For instance
A young child diagnosed with a deadly disease nearing its death.In that case if surgery is the only hope with predictable side effects ,then on the grounds of double effects the surgery will be done to save the life of child and manage the side effects later to lead a quality life
