1. Hypotonic solution is solution containing low concentration of salt comparing to cells in the body. Usually used in dehydration, diabetic ketoacidosis etc to increase body's fluid level.

Normal saline 0.9% - 9 % of salt in 1 liter

0.45% saline- 4.5% salt in 1 liter

Ringer lactate- sodium chloride 6 g/L, sodium lactate 3.1 g/L, potassium chloride 0.3 g/L, and calcium chloride 0.2 g/L

5% dextrose in normal saline- 50% dextrose in 1 liter

Among these, 0.45% saline is hypotonic.

Thyroid hormone stimulate metabolism, growth and development of the human body.
