These are sometimes referred to as the basic metaparadigms of the nursing domain. The other theories of nursing that are relevant to the personal practice of nursing are a) need theory given by virginia henderson: she emphasized the importances of increasing a clients independence of increasing a clients independence to promote their continued healing progress after hospitalization , b)system model by Baetty neuman focuses on the response of the client system to acctual or potential environment stresors and the use of several levels of nursing prevention intervention for attaining , retaining and maintaining optimal client system wellness.
