1, Hirschsprung disease is a common cause of functional intestinal obstruction in children..There is congenital absence of neurones in a portion of the intestinal tract, especially in distal colon..Due to distruption of normal neural crest cell migration , absence of enteric ganglion cells of the submucosal Plexi in GI tract results in Hirschsprung disease, leading to intestinal obstruction and distension of megacolon..

2, Laporoscopic approach colostomy performed temporary stoma on the abdomen by normal intestine brought out and portion of the intestine with out ganglion cells is bypassed..

3, Abdomen assessment after 48hours for newborn to rule out any distension and absence of bowel movements sounds..

4, Hirschsprung disease affects large intestine..There will be intestinal obstruction cause constipation..
