Answer #1

Number of factor affects rate of reaction -

Concentration Effect -

Two substances can't possibly react with each other unless their molecules and ions come in contact . As average kinetic energy increases as results partical move faster and collide more frequently per unit time .So rate of reaction increases with concentration of reactants

Temperature -

Increase in temperature increases rate of reaction because kinetic energy of its constituent partical gets enhanced.

Due to temp collisions between each particles increases as results ,rate of reaction also increase. In short rate of any reaction depends on temperatures, if temperature drops down , rate of reaction goes down .

Catalyst effect -

Catalyst is substance that participate in reaction and increase the rate of reaction , without undergoing a net change itself .Catalyst involves into reaction , due to that energy required for activation of reaction goes down . So reaction can accomplish at lower temperatures due to use of catalyst .Once chemical reaction gets complete , you can recover catalyst .Beauty of catalyst is , it lowers energy of activation .

Energy of activation -

Is minimum amount of energy , require to initiate reaction , is called as energy of activation. Once energy of activation gets lower by use of catalyst , you can accomplish same reaction at lower temperature.
