You’ve been hired to be the cinematographer for a fiction film. The first scene is of a woman daydreaming about winning the lottery. Write a short paragraph describing the scene itself. Then, in a second paragraph, discuss how you would film it. What kind of lighting will you use? What shots? What angles? Explain why you selected these specific elements—how do they help to create meaning in the scene?

First Scene:

It was a beautiful morning for a woman with lottery ticket in her hand as it was a lottery opening day. She was so excited that she started daydreaming about it since the morning. She dream about buying a good shelter for her family, about paying her children school fees, about going on a vacation with her family and a lot more things.

At the time of filming it, it can be shown as the woman is lying on her bed thinking about her lottery win and slowly her thoughts gets converted into daydream. So, basically it starts from the lottery counter where she won the lottery and while filming we can use dark light with closeup shot to show her excitement of winning the lottery followed by purchasing shelter/house for her family with soft lightning and wide camera shot to cover everything in that particular purchase scene to create more realistic view while daydreaming, followed by going to her children school in a luxury car making a sudden good impression on others for paying their school fees all in soft light with normal angle shots to cover every aspects of the scene closely. After every responsibility she went for family vacation in her private plane.
