Answer #1

a). Book Value per share = Shareholders' Equity / Number of shares outstanding

= $945,000 / 500,000 = $1.89 per share

b). Dividend per share = Cash Dividends / Number of shares outstanding = $150,000 / 500,000 = $0.30

Dividend Yield = Dividend per share / Market Share Price = $0.30 / $9.50 = 0.0316, or 3.16%

c). Dividend Payout = Cash Dividends / Net Income = $150,000 / $433,000 = 0.3464, or 34.64%

d). Market-to-book ratio = Market price per share / Book Value per share = $9.50 / $1.89 = 5.03 times
