ans. b. Begin walking half of a mile every day.

Rationale:

It is advisable to do the Walking and mild exercise regularly after bypass surgery. Climbing of stairs is also recommended. It is considered as one of the rehabilitation technique and difficulties in walking can give a clue of any complications. Hence option b is correct.

Usually, the patient has to take rest completely for at least 6 to 8 weeks. Returning to work is advisable after one or two months because traveling and weight lifting increase the complication.
